Question: Need help in getting more protein in my diet?

It's not that I'm vegetarian, I just don't eat a lot of meat....or eat a lot of anything period (except for salt! LOL). I'm very lactose intolerant and where cottage cheese used to be a great source of protein for me is now a massive tummy ache. Peanuts and most nuts in general give me the same problems as milk. I can't handle plain chicken and don't put chicken in my salads either. Usually my lunch is a turkey and/ or ham sandwich with whole grain and mustard. I recognize and know I need to eat more protein as I am increasing in my weight training/ lifting but its just hard for me to down it. Any suggestions? In the summertime for breakfast I make smoothies (soy protein and soy milk plus frozen fruit) but that only holds me till maybe 9 and I'm famished. |
