Question: Is 1180 calories a day a bad diet plan?

Im dieting because i need to loose weight desperately.. i added up all the calories i ate today and its 1180, i was at the weight room and did 30Min's on the elliptical and did some weights, and after dinner i all ways walk on the treadmill for 30Min's and usually burn at least 130 calories, Do you think ill loose weight? Oh and at the weight room i burned 230 calories.

You'll lose weight but not in a healthy way... This is basically starving yourself. You should eat at least 1500 calories a day which is a good number to limit yourself to if dieting. Don't eat any less than this. Your metabolism will slow down significantly and won't burn as many calories for basic living tasks then it would if you ate 1500 plus so make sure you eat at least 1500. I eat 1800 a day and I've been losing about 2.5 lbs. a week since starting this plan and 2.5 lbs. a week is the recommended rate to lose weight.
