Doing a cleanse of you system is a highly effective way of doing losing weight. Be aware this is not a long term weight loss strategy but it will help you shift some pounds quick smart. I think you should look into the super colon cleanse to start will. This will remove all the toxins from your digestive tract and colon and give you body more opportunity to rid the body of un-need and excess pounds. Good nutrition, exercise and water is the best way to loose weight. 5 meals a day on average between 350-450 calories per meal following a 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fat ratio. Translates into 3-4 oz of protein, 1-2 cup of veg, 1/ 2 cup of carbs (brown rice or pasta)

I think you should avoid rapid weight loss as it's unhealthy (especially if someone's charging you lots of money for some kind of supplement). If you're heading into the army, you'll want to arrive there in the best possible shape. You can aim for losing one pound a week, anything more and you'll be losing lean muscle. Aim for overall fitness by following a balanced program that gives you strength training, regular cardio workouts and proper nutrition. I recommend this site. "Detox diets " don't work very well. You're just going to starve your body, and you'll end up gaining those 10-15lbs back... plus some. Instead, try limiting your diet and do more cardio workouts. Cardio exercises don't build muscle, so you won't be gaining weight (muscle weighs more than fat). One more tip: the ARMY can do a waiver if you're considered healthy, but outside the weight requirements. My oldest is outside his weight requirements by 10-20 lbs, but he gets a waiver. They're signing a LOT of waivers right now.
